What Do We Believe? The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Ghost, born of a virgin, and true God and man; that there is no other name under heaven whereby men must be saved; and that as Christians, we are obliged to make this truth known.

Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself the demands and necessities of human nature and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever present Lord.

The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; He rose again from the dead on the third day, after which He was seen by many witness; He ascended into heaven, where He is now alive, and is our great High Priest and advocate with the Father. We believe that because He has thus conquered death for us, we too shall be delivered from death.
